Reception – Booking conditions – General information

1. Is the campsite open year round?
No. The campsite only opens between from the end of March until the beginning of November.
2. Where can I find the campsite map?
We intentionally do not display the campsite map on our website. It will be given to you on arrival, so that you can settle on your pitch. If necessary, we will accompany you to your mobile home in order to carry out the inventory of fixtures on arrival.
3. What are the opening hours of Reception Office?
Every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
4. What are the possible arrival and departure times at the campsite?
  • For rentals: arrival from 4 p.m., departure before 10 a.m.
  • For camping pitches: arrival from 2 p.m., departure before noon.
5. Is it possible to cancel my reservation or postpone my stay? What are your general conditions?
The booking conditions can be downloaded and attached to the reservation contract, upon signature of which they are deemed to have been accepted. As part of an internet reservation (which is equivalent to a contract), they must be checked before proceeding to the payment stage.
6. How can I use my credit note?
By mentioning your customer number transmitted by our services when processing your file.
7. Am I required to take out cancellation insurance? What does your campsite cover if I don't subscribe to it?
No, this is an option. Please refer to the documents to be downloaded and the page https://www.holiday-giens.co.uk/information-coronavirus-covid-19.
8. When should I pay the deposit and the balance for my stay?
  • For rentals: deposit on booking, balance 30 days before arrival.
  • For camping pitches: deposit on booking, balance on arrival.
9. What are the available payment options?
We accept payments by credit card, bank transfer, or in cash.
10. Are animals allowed on the campsite?
  • Yes. This is an option, billed € 4 per night on a camping pitch, or € 5,50 per night in a rental (NB: maximum 1 animal per rental, tattoo and up-to-date vaccination will be anyway checked on arrival);
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash within the campsite;
  • 1st and 2nd category dogs are not allowed.
11. Is the wearing of the bracelet compulsory?
Yes, during all your stay; it allows us to ensure that all the people benefiting from the services of the campsite are really residents of it.
12. Is there a laundromat in the campsite?
  • Yes. It is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Prices (laundry included): € 6 for 6 kg.
13. Are barbecues allowed? Do you rent planchas?
Only electric barbecues and planchas are authorized, which are not available for rental.
14. Does the Wi-Fi network cover the whole campsite? What is the price?
Yes, the different prices are displayed at the reception. Example: 1 day = 4 €, 7 days = 9 €, Family pack 4x14 days = 42 €.
15. Where and when can I go to a local market?
A market takes place every day in the area (Tuesday in Giens, Sunday in the Port of Hyères, etc.).
16. Where are the supermarkets located?
In addition to the small grocery shop located in the campsite, you will find hypermarkets, supermarkets and supermarkets within a 10 km-radius, in the town of Hyères: Casino, Chronodrive, Géant Casino (+ drive), Leclerc, Grand Frais, Intermarché (+ drive), Carrefour Market, Lidl, etc.
17. Which measures have you taken to fight against COVID 19?
18. Is it possible to drive into the campsite at any time?
In order to preserve the tranquility of your nights, campsite entrance gates are closed from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. (from midnight to 7 a.m. in July-August).
19. What if I arrive after 8 p.m.?
Do not panic if you’ve got a booking! A night auditor will guide you to your pitch or your accommodation.
20. Is the campsite accessible to people with reduced mobility?
No. Please contact Campsite La Presqu’île de Giens, which has suitable facilities and accommodation.
21. Are visitors allowed to visit me?
Yes. NB: Visitors not staying overnight will have to pay a daily tax of € 5.
22. My child is under 18 and wants to stay at the campsite with his friends. Is it possible?
No. In accordance with the internal regulations, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal representative during their entire stay.
23. What is the public transport around the campsite?
Bus line 67 runs between Hyères (town center and SNCF train station) and La Tour Fondue, bus-stop "Estérel", 100 m from Campsite Reception Office.

Rentals (Mobile homes)

1. Can I precisely choose my location in the campsite?
You can mention your preferences when making your reservation (for example: being in a quiet area, close to services, sunny, shaded location, close to your friends, another family... ). When possible, the campsite will assign you the location that best suits your needs.
2. Are babies counted in the accommodation capacity?
Yes, babies are counted in the accommodation capacity, the maximum number of people in mobile homes must not be exceeded.
3. Where can I find the inventory of my accommodation?
The inventory can be sent to you by e-mail, on request.
4. Do I have to pay a deposit on arrival?
Yes, amounting € 100 (by credit card). Deposit returned after the cleanliness inventory on departure day.
5. Are pillows and blankets provided?
Yes.
6. Do you rent baby beds or chairs?
Yes optional (baby bed & high chair kit: € 2 per day).
7. Is it possible to park my vehicle on my spot?
Yes.
8. Is it possible to come with two cars?
Generally not. Yes, in certain cases after validation by our services.
9. Is it possible to put a baby bed in the parental sleeping room?
No.
10. Is it possible to set up a tent in front of my rental?
No, you will need to book an additional pitch, located in the area dedicated to tents.
11. Do I have to schedule an appointment for the departure inventory?
No. Check-out control takes place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., as soon as you have notified Reception Office that you are ready to leave.
12. Is it possible to come with a trailer?
Generally not. Yes, only in certain cases, after validation by our services (option is charged 4 €/night).

Camping spots

1. Can I precisely choose my location in the campsite?
You can mention your preferences when making your reservation (for example: being in a quiet area, close to services, sunny, shaded location, close to your friends, another family... ). When possible, the campsite will assign you the location that best suits your needs.
2. What is the size of the pitches?
Due to the vegetation, the pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes on the campsite have an average surface area of 70 to 80 m² (parking included).
3. Is an electric terminal available on my pitch? What equipment should I bring?
Yes. A terminal is located near each pitch (conventional or European sockets). To be comfortable, provide a 10-m-extension and a power strip. We provide adapters if needed, within the limit of available stock.
4. How are the sanitary facilities on the campsite equipped?
The campsite has 2 sanitary blocks equipped with crockery and laundry tubs, toilets, sinks and individual cabins (shower or shower + sink and undressing area).
5. Are the pitches connected to water?
No. Water points are available next to the sanitary facilities.
6. Is toilet paper available in the sanitary facilities?
No, it's up to everyone to bring their own toilet paper.
7. Do you rent refrigerators?
No. We provide the contact details of service providers on request, ensuring rental and delivery to your pitch.
8. Is it possible to park my vehicle on my spot?
Yes.
9. Is it possible to come with two cars?
Generally not. Yes, in certain cases after validation by our services.
10. Is it possible to come with a trailer?
Generally not. Yes, only in certain cases, after validation by our services (option is charged 4 €/night).

Restaurant

1. What are the opening hours of the restaurant?
The opening hours of the restaurant are random, but rest assured: they cover the needs of customers according to the seasons, from morning to evening.

3. Does the restaurant offer take-out service?
Yes.
4. What is the price of the half-board and the full-board?
Around €25/day/pers. in half-board and €45/day/pers. in full board (indicative prices, subject to increase).

Grocery shop

1. What are the opening hours of the grocery shop?
The grocery shop is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
2. What kind of products can I buy at the grocery shop?
Basic food products, bread and pastries, drugstore. Fresh fruit and vegetables are sold by a shop located 150 m from the campsite (generally open from May to October).

Porquerolles – Port Cros – Le Levant (The Golden Islands)

1. How long takes the crossing to the Golden Islands?
  • 20 minutes to Porquerolles (departure from La Tour Fondue)
  • about 1 hour to Port-Cros (departure from Hyères Harbor)
  • approximately 1h30 to Ile du Levant (departure from Hyères Harbor).
2. How often are the maritime shuttles to Porquerolles?

3. Can I buy tickets at reception office?

4. Can I bring my bike to the islands? Are there suitable trails?
Yes, only on Porquerolles, for a supplement of around € 15 per bike. Rental possible on site, in the village.

Bikes – Cycle paths

1. Do you rent bikes?
No. Rental possible from our partner Locabike (https://www.loca-bikes.com).
2. Is it possible for my children to cycle in the campsite?
Yes. Be careful, however, to car traffic (limited to 10 km/h)
3. Is it possible to go to the beach by bike?
No, the coastal path is pedestrian only.
